Holiday regatta and gingerbread houses

Tonight our town hosted a holiday Regatta where the yachtmens and local boaters deck their vessels in Christmas lights. The parade lasts about an hour and it's one of the highlights of my Christmas season. Our favorites this year were the pirate ship complete with working cannons and a song about jingle bells and rum. A yacht with it's mast made to look like a Nutcracker Christmas. And this tiny little boat that was decked out like a candy cane.
We left the marina with frozen noses and toes and headed back to our place for our 1st gingerbread house competition.
Jeff and I tried out best to create Big Ben.
It fell over twice killing a few gummi bear tourists, but it is actually still standing now!
Carl & Brent hard at work!
The clock face.
We had 4 contenders this year.
The Rachel, Mike & Kristin teamed up to create a nativity complete with gummi sheep, a glitter star, and Mary & Joseph with red hot eyes.
Carl made a New England Cape Cod with Santa on the rooftop and a whopper chimney.
Heather & Brent teamed up to make the Ritz Carlton St. Augustine
