6/11: School's Out for Summer

Today I packed my last box from my classroom.

I turned in my room keys.

And I walked out of my classroom. A classroom I will not see for another 10 glorious weeks!

I then drove 30 minutes to my new classroom. My marine science classroom, where I will spend the next 6 weeks teaching about salt marsh ecosystems, upland ecosystems, and CPR. I will swim laps at the YMCA, ride bike trails in a nature preserve, and grade journals chronicling all the fun the kids had.

Tonight I celebrated my freedom over takeout with Mr. R.

I don't think I have ever loved a Friday Night In more!
