'ello Gov'nor

Pip Pip Cherrio!
Ok, that exhausts my knowledge of British sayings.

Tonight is England Night in my house. God Save the Queen!

Mr. R has been dying to watch Sherlock Holmes since he opened his Easter gift two nights ago, and I thought tonight was as good a night as any to indulge his wish. You know how I love a theme night so of course my wheels started turning early this morning.
I thought we would celebrate our neighbors across the pond with proper English pub dinner. My only request was, that while eating and watching Mr. Holmes solve the mystery of Lord Blackwood, we use bad English accents.
I have never been to London officially, I was in their airport once. But I hear that if you go you must stop in a pub drink a coupla' and order fish and chips. You must also cover those fish and chips in malt vinegar and coarse salt.
For our dinner tonight I made oven roasted potatoes (the chips), breaded fish fillets (thank you Gordon's), roasted asparagus, and green side salad. We made a toast to the Queen and her ladies, sipped our pints, and enjoyed our dinner in the company of Sherlock, Watson, and Irene Adler.
Cheerio Blokes and Birds!
Hope you also had a lovely Tuesday night.
