Today begins state standardized test in Florida.
My students are prepared, confident, and so am I.
I taught with passion.
I prepared lessons with purpose.
I did my job.
I can honestly say...
Screw you, Governor Scott if that is not good enough!
Post FCAT my students started our unit on DNA.
We learned about the structure.
I assigned a web quest.
We made DNA models.
And my students wrote their names in in genetic code.
Over all, not a bad Monday.
SOLs are just around the corner. I really hate that once you hit 3rd grade, the focus is suddenly shifted soley to SOL preparation. It's a year long thing. The teachers are stressed which then makes the students stressed. Ugh.
