Day 1: Of the 21 day habit.

I posted last Thursday that I will be running 21 consecutive days to make running a daily habit in my life. I mean I blog everyday, read everyday, take a picture everyday... why not run everyday as well. Also I completely stole this idea and format from Jess.

Day #1: 2.25 miles on the treadmill, pace 10:45 and 11:30.

In other news besides running. I rocked dinner tonight, Bobby Flay's grilled scallops are AMAZING! and I am steadily working my way through Project 365. I am now documenting April. Thank goodness for blogging because I honestly cannot remember anything in April besides Mr. R's birthday in Disney.

Lastly, I am super excited for my trip home on Friday. Mr. R. is staying in Florida with the pups so that means 7 days in Jersey with just us girls. There will be lots of girlie movies, running, shopping, eating, and relaxing. Can't Wait!

We are having a dutch baby!

(Also known as a puffed pancake)

I was catching up on blogs earlier this week and stumbled across a recipe for a blueberry dutch baby. The making of it could not have been easier!
  • Heat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Place 4 Tbs. of butter in a glass pieplate and place in your oven to melt the butter (as it is heating).
  • In your blender add: 4 eggs, 1/2 c. of flour, and 1/2 c. of milk
  • Top with blueberries
  • Bake in your 425 degree oven for 25 minutes.
  • If you have a Mr. Republican in your house, you will also need to throw some bacon on your George Foreman.
  • After your baby is done baking top with powdered sugar.
Then promptly go run 3 miles because you know all of that butter is going straight to your thighs!

We can dance if we want to, we can leave your friends behind. 'Cause your friends don't dance and if they don't dance, well they're no friends of mine.

See the people walking down the street. Fall in line just watching all their feet. They don't know where they wanna go. But they're walking in time. They got the beat.

Take on me. Take me on. I'll be gone. In your dreams.

The Love Shack is a little old place where we can get together. Love Shack baby.

Recipe for my favorite type of Friday...

1 evening at home in a clean house
2 grandparents invited over for dinner
3 dinner choices: pepperoni pizza, caesar salad, or veggie pizza
4 Republicans relaxing on the couch after dinner watching North by Northwest.
Add in some wine and red velvet cake if you are feeling crazy.
Nothing compliments classic Hitchcock better.

Senor R. es muy importante

I am not sure how to start this post. For this reason I am using bullets and it will be slightly random.
  • Our whirlwind 4th of July driving/roadtrip extravaganza has made me exhausted.
  • Marine Science is still going strong and I am in desperate need of a day off.
  • Mr. R has been having a slow week at work and wants to hangout with people every night afterwork.
  • My week hasn't been anywhere NEAR slow. After work I want a nap and lots of wine.
  • Mr. R was asked to be on yet another board today.
  • He is now the newest member of 450 Next.

  • I wanted to celebrate with him @ the YPO meeting, but really I wanted to become one with the couch more.
  • Mr. R is much better at rallying than me and is currently imbibing at JP Henleys.
  • I am watching Season 1 of Murder She Wrote on Netflix for Wii.
  • Mock me if you want, Jessica Fletcher + Bear wine = Happy Hilary

F to the I to the T!
Yes, I am back on the FIT train with a plan to run consecutively for 21 days. I am stealing the idea from Jess. She started running by making it a daily habit for 21 days straight. (Apparently 20 days of doing anything is habit forming.) There are only 2 rules to my 21 day habit.

Rule #1: Run everyday for 21 days.
Rule #2: My minimum mileage MUST be at least 1 mile. My maximum mileage is 5.
